2010 Seoul Foreign Language Instructors’ Seminar

KAFLA and the Seoul Board of Education are putting on their annual seminar for native English teachers in Korea. This mandatory seminar is designed to inform teachers about immigration polices. Although, no new information is usually given, but the representative from immigration does do a Q&A usually so that is nice.

Also, you’ll hear from some big Director about some story of how to be a better teacher and they usually invited on foreign teach who has been in Korea for ages to offer some sage advice from the trenches as it were.

KAFLA hosts the event on behalf of the Seoul Board of Education Korea and requests full cooperation from all foreign language academies to enable foreign instructors to attend the following seminar.

• When:  Saturday, June. 19th, 2010. AM 09:00 ~ 13:00
• Where: Korean Church Centennial Memorial Building – Main Hall (Address: 135 YounJi-Dong, Chongro-Gu, Seoul) (400m from Exit 2 at Chongro-5-Ga Station of Subway Line 1
• Attendants: All authorized foreign language instructors
• Objective: To ensure that all native instructors in Seoul are familiar with immigration rules and procedures.

The following seminar is obligatory for all foreign language instructors in accordance the Article 21 Subsection 3 of the Law governing Academy foundation, management and extracurricular work.

All attendants (foreign language teachers) must bring a registration form and pen, which you can get from your director or pick up at the desk on the day.  After the s Seminar, we will provide lunch and a raffle. Prizes like ipods or netbooks!
