I have no issues with anyone eating dog meat or any meat really if they need that to sustain themselves and their families. How could you walk over to the great guys from ‘Meet the Natives‘ and tell them they are evil for eating dog. You couldn’t as they are living in perfect harmony with their surroundings. All the plants and animals are highly respected and yes, eaten. We have “progressed” so far with our modern ways but keep getting further and further away from that balanced life that all of our ancestors enjoyed.
However, that is a whole other conversation. Here we are talking dog meat in Korea and really just how sick and disgusting it is. Although, no more sick and disgusting than a slaughter house in North America, but that cute puppy dog eyes is what really gets people to take issue with this.

If you ask a Korean then likely they have tried dog meat, but a good number say they haven’t and say they won’t. Some have had a parent sneak it into a stew that they had and told them only after they wolfed it down, pardon the pun. Will this practice ever stop? Not likely as there will always be a few that cling to the traditions and the lore around the virility and “stamina” this food gives men. Korean government is even looking at regulating it and therefore legitimizing it reports Animal Rights Korea.
