Most Popular Korean Baby Names 2001-2007
Coming up with Korean baby names is taken very seriously in Korea most of time and not done flippantly like the guy naming his daughter Anavrin because it is Nirvana spelled backwards.
Here in Korea, fortune tellers, other baby name specialist and other rituals can be used to come up with the perfect Korean baby name. Korean babies are usually named by the the husband’s grandfather, but nowadays that is changing and sometimes they are even given their mother’s Korean family name along with their fathers. So, you could meet someone with two family names.
First we have Korean girls names
- Soo Bin

Here are some Korean babies trying their best to imitate the hilarious, cute laughing baby on Youtube that about 60,000,0000 million people have seen. Come on parents let’s get those Korean girls and boys to be the most adorable giggling babies in the world.
Whether it’s a Korean baby or not, just seeing these cuties laugh and smile brings a smile to your face. Here’s a baby with the traditional (haha) Korean JimJilBang towel turban that makes you look like a sheep. How cute is that!
This might be how Jun Ji Hyun and Lee Hyo Ri got started.

Came across your article and I wish you could tell me more. Is there any website that will tell me what the dolrimja (돌림자) is for my husband’s family? My Father-in-law doesn’t know and is picking names out of a hat for my unborn son. This isn’t going over so well with my side of the family. I speak and read korean moderately but it’s been hard deciphering korean websites. Most of them require me to pay for a baby namer. I just want to know what the dolrimja is. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
Hi Hellen~ Wish I could help out, but it’s going to be tough if you don’t have access to that family tree book. Someone told me that if you can find someone of the same family name, of course they were from the Gwon’s so easy to find only one line and area, but if it’s Lee, Park, Kim well you know how hard that could be. Maybe
you can track down family members on Facebook like the Min‘s
Sorry, I’m not much help on this one. If you do find out how to do this please let me know as it could come up again.
Thanks!
