Korea Tattoo Parlor Get Ink in Korea!

A Korean tattoo parlor is a bit hard to come by as tattoos still aren’t too popular in Korea and still carry with them the Korean gangster stigma. It’s used to be only gangsters would have large elaborate tattoo all over their backs.

Nowadays though you can see some Korean celebrities and K-Pop stars with tattoos. I don’t think all of them are real as fashion tattoos and stencil type temporary tattoos are catching on a bit too.

Scattered all over the Internet are free tattoo designs that can help you decide on the exact tattoo that you want.

More popular are the temporary tatoos that you can get in the busy shopping districts. These have an obvious advantage in that you can wash them off and not have to worry about what to tell your kids or grandkids what the thing is on your back that used to look cool, but is now all wrinkly.

I have seen some Korean girls with the classic lower-back tattoo and even some neck and belly tattoos. Of course, you’ll see lots of expats with tattoos in Korea and I’m sure they gave their bosses heart attacks when they showed up for work with exposed tattoos, especially those teaching in Korea. You would be surprised, but if you ask some students what they think about teachers with tattoos you aren’t likely to find many positive comments so be sure to keep them covered until you get to know your students or Korean friends better.
