Park Bom has a little belly as you can see in the picture below and in Korean is called a ddong bae (똥배 ). Now most of you who have spent some time in Korea or studying Hangul might have come across both of these words. Ddong in English is, well dung and bae has a few meanings, but one of them is stomach or belly. So, basically a literal translation is ‘crap belly’.

It’s a lovely image isn’t it?. Ddong bae would refer to someone with a bit of a pot belly or a pudge belly caused by having some crap in there that you just can’t get rid of so their belly sticks out. Yes, that is nasty, or is it? Remember that even something like shit can be cute in Asia and especially in Korea. People will even tell you that they don’t feel well because of diarrhea without even hesitating. Not something most Westerns will talk about, but why not it is a natural bodily function and we all do it!
