Snowboarding in the middle of Seoul! December 11-13 the Snowboard Big Air World Cup will be held right in Gwanghwamun Square. Seoul Metropolitan Government will erect a 34 meter high and 100 meter long jump that will see the top boarders in the world catch some major air.
If you head over to Gwanghwamun you’ll also be able lace up your skates and try out the rink, watch a music concert and check out the impressive festival of lights. Saw it last year and it was pretty cool actually.
This is a momentous occasion for Seoul and really for Asia as it is the first time that The Snowboard Big Air World Cup has be hosted over on this part of the world and hopefully increases the chances of Korea hosting the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in Pyeong Chang, but let’s not hold our breath on that one.
